Summer Prints

At Sofa Workshop, we love a statement print. From interiors to clothes and accessories, a fashion-forward print is the perfect way to add interest to virtually anything!

S/S 2018 sees prints become brighter and bolder. Not only that, but they’re being deliberately mismatched to create real impact in your home. Rather than being dark and moody like we’ve seen before, this season’s prints are all about quirky collages in summery colours that create a fresh, fun vibe.

This trend has also been called ‘happy design’, the idea being that if you’re surrounded by summery, bright prints, you’ll feel positive and energised.

A great way to bring this trend into the home is through vibrant pieces of art. Look for unique, collage-style pieces, and sit them against accessories featuring contrasting bold patterns to create the perfect clash!

The simplest way to update your interior with this look is to use cushions in contrasting colours and prints, instilling this trend into your rooms through fun accessories.

Our Tom Collins chair upholstered in the gorgeous Kitty McCall Ola Berry fabric was featured at this year’s Ideal Home Show, and is the perfect homage to this trend!

Leading interior stylist Sophie Robinson styled the Innovation Home at this year’s Ideal Home Show, and as well as our Tom Collins chair, she also featured our Little Jon sofa in Tor Damson. Using eye-catching prints in the furniture and accessories of your room shows how amazing this trend can look when implemented well.

Place our Petite Marguerite chair in Osborne & Little Tulipan Ivory in a room featuring contrasting, but equally bold prints. This fabric is definitely one of our favourites!
