Now in its 40th year, Spring Fair 2016 kicks off this weekend for another look at the best the home and gift industry has to offer. Being held at the Birmingham NEC 7 – 11 February, Spring Fair is one of the largest retail events of its kind in the UK, and whether you’re in retail or just have an interest in gifts and home furnishings, we recommend popping along for a look, there’s going to be plenty to check out!
Spring Fair 2016 will fill every hall of the Birmingham NEC and showcase products from 13 different show sectors, among them Home, Summer House, and Kitchen Dining and Housewares. There will be much to see at each of the sectors, including stalls displaying new and top trending products, but also catwalk shows, for those of you interested in fashion, and seminars on everything from home and gift trends to how to list your own goods for sale on Amazon and eBay.
You’ll find the Home show sector at Halls 1 & 2 of the Birmingham NEC, where over 130 exhibitors will be presenting their new ranges. Those with stands this year include furniture maker PD Global, contemporary art publisher The Art Group, MYB Textiles, Light & Living, Chic Antique, and Scandinavian furniture wholesaler Rowico. And make sure to head over to the Couch Coaster stand where our very own Brandon Snuggler will be making an appearance!
Summer House in Hall 8 will be host to 31 companies exhibiting contemporary gifts, furniture, home accessories, seasonal decorations, textiles, kitchenware, home fragrances, and more. Striped fabric specialists The Stripes Company, tableware brand Fairmont & Main, and Dartington Crystal are just a few of the companies taking part.
The Kitchen Dining and Housewares show sector can be found in Halls 9 & 10. There you’ll have the opportunity to browse stands belonging to some of the leading brands in the sector, including pottery and tableware manufacturer Denby, tableware and kitchenware manufacturer Creative Tops, and kitchen textiles company Ulster Weavers.
As well as thousands of suppliers and retailers there will also be a host of celebrities attending and speaking at this year’s Spring Fair. The Great British Bake Off’s Paul Hollywood will be at the event, as will designers Sophie Conran, Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, and Cath Kidston. Kidston will be presenting the Gift of the Year Awards 2016 on behalf of The Giftware Association.
