The Ideal Home Show has been taking place now for well over a hundred years, and from 18th March to 3rd April 2016 will return once again to Olympia, London, providing tips and talks for anyone looking to create the perfect living space. Divided into eight dedicated areas – Interiors, Home Improvement, Gardens, Food & Housewares, Technology, Fashion & Beauty, Shopping, and Show Homes – there’ll be plenty of exhibits and seminars at this year’s Ideal Home Show to keep you busy, and more than enough ideas to take home!
Before you do anything else at the Ideal Home Show 2016, check out Ideal Roomsets, where Good Homes will be showcasing their new roomsets – beautility kitchen, pastel dining room, botanical living room, marine family room, coastal bedroom, and glamour bathroom. The theme of these roomsets will be ‘bringing the outdoors in’, and will feature all the latest decorating trends, including bird and bloom motifs.
For more home design inspiration, the Ideal Home Show will have fully built show homes for you to explore. There’ll be The Time Saving Home, kitted out with time-saving products and technology, A Traditionally British Home, which shows you how to create a traditional living space with a 21st century twist, and finally The ARC by Green Unit, a home of the not-to-distant future that combines beauty of design with eco-living.
The Ideal Super Theatre will be host to celebrity experts giving talks and presentations, so if you’re looking for some insider knowledge on how to transform your home from stale to stunning, make sure you make time to pop along at some point during the Ideal Home Show’s run. Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, George Clarke, Linda Barker, and Alan Titchmarsh are just a few of the celebrity experts who will be offering advice on how to improve your home.
Visit Ideal Smart Homes and find out how technology can improve your home. There’ll be regular interactive presentations taking place where you can learn about the latest innovations in the home gadget and technology world, and The Gadget Show‘s Suzi Perry will be giving a rundown of her top-tech for the house.
Not forgetting that exterior spaces are part of the home too, Ideal Show Gardens will be displaying six gorgeous show gardens. Designed by students as part of the Ideal Young Gardeners of the Year competition, they present a variety of sustainable and creative garden schemes for urban spaces, and as well as taking away some ideas for your own garden, you can also vote for your favourite to win the People’s Choice Award.
Once you’ve formed some ideas about what you’d like for your home, it’s time to head upstairs at Olympia to the Ideal Shopping section. There you can pick up home accessories, gifts, new technology, and more – everything needed to style your home to perfection.
There’ll be so much more packed into the Ideal Home Show’s two weeks that the only way to find out about it all is to go along! With loads to see and do and more exhibitors than you can shake a stick at, you’ll be spoilt for choice! And speaking of exhibitors, make sure you keep your eyes peeled for Sofa Workshop‘s very own Brandon snuggler at the Couch Coaster display, and our Aztec footstool in Dusky in the show house.
