All About Us
We love sofas. We really do. We have been creating sofas for more than 20 years. We think this experience really counts for something. We want to create your ideal sofa. One that fits perfectly and feels great, one that suits your lifestyle and your budget. All our sofas are built by hand by skilled craftsmen, and we guarantee each and every one.

The journey so far.
We opened our first store in Tunbridge Wells over 20 years ago. We have grown a lot since then - we now have 32 stores around the UK, an internet business and more recently 'Talk Sofas' - a team of dedicated sofa lovers who are there to answer any questions you may have. They are based at our head office - a cluster of beautiful converted barns in the middle of rural West Sussex.
Although we have come a long way in the last few years, our principles and philosophy have remained the same.
Every person is unique. As are most living rooms. We're here to create something that's just right for you and your home.
We have learnt a lot from our customers about what works and what doesn't when it comes to designing and building a sofa and armchair. This experience underpins everything we do.
Design classics.
All our collections are designed by our in-house team led by Rachel Hulbert, one of the country's most talented upholstery designers. You'll find Rachel at all the major international fabric and furniture shows checking out the latest trends and sourcing the most exciting new fabrics and leathers.
She also uses the past for inspiration, homing in on a timeless classic and giving it a contemporary twist or incorporating the latest cushion fillings or construction techniques to improve the quality and comfort.
However, our major source of inspiration is you - the customer. Our sofas are the result of 20 years of listening. Our store teams are always feeding back your comments and suggestions.

About our sofa ranges.
To help you navigate our enormous selection of styles, we have organised them into three distinct ranges - Ultimate Choice, Flexible Choice and Simple Choice.
Ultimate Choice - We have learnt that everyone has different demands of their sofa. One of our key strengths is being able to cater to those demands.
Our Ultimate Collection lets us meet those demands, as it gives huge scope to customise your sofa. Taller customers often want us to increase the depth, height and width of their sofas. Shorter customers want the opposite!
In addition, you can choose the cushion fillings, leg colour and choose from hundreds of fabulous fabrics and leathers (in fact over 1800)!
Is access a bit tricky? Don't worry many Ultimate Choice models can have removable arms or bolt-in-two on request.
We like to call ourselves 'collaborative creators'. Together we will create a sofa that is unique and special for you and your home. You can even go and see your Ultimate Choice sofa being made - just let us know and we can arrange it!
All our Ultimate Choice sofas are guaranteed for 10 years.
Flexible Choice - While there is not quite as much possibility for customisation as there is with the Ultimate Choice range, there is still amazing scope to adapt each style.
There is a huge amount of fabrics and leathers to choose from. Only our favourite fabrics are available to buy from our web site, but in store there are literally hundreds. You can also choose your cushion filling.
All our Flexible Choice sofas are guaranteed for up to 6 years.
Simple Choice - Great designs that offer fantastic value for money. We are able to sell them at such great prices because we offer them in limited sizes and in our favourite selected number of fabric and leather choices which makes it easier for us, and less expensive for you.
Simple Choice are built to last - you only have to try lifting one up to tell how robust they are!
All our Simple Choice sofas are guaranteed for 5 years.
An exciting future.
We are really excited about the future as we have found a new life partner! In October 2006 we were bought by New Heights, the award winning furniture chain.
It really is a perfect match. Both companies specialise in hand crafted furniture that is well priced and can be tailor-made for you. New Heights specialises in free standing furniture - largely made from solid wood - for the bedroom, dining room and living room.
