Whether you’re after last-minute Easter activities, or you’re planning something special over the Easter holidays, our guide to the top Easter events taking place in the South East of England has you covered.

Chichester

Easter Bunny Trips, Chichester Canal, 19th – 29th March

Take an Easter themed trip down the Chichester Canal, with fun and refreshments for everyone, and free chocolate bunnies for the children.

Easter at the Museum, Weald and Downland Museum, 27th March

Step back in time and experience the traditional Easter celebrations of ordinary folk from times gone by. The fun-packed Easter schedule offers activities for the whole family, with Easter cooking in the Tudor kitchen, egg painting, and bonnet making.

Guildford

Cadbury Easter Egg Trail, Hatchlands Park, 25th – 28th March

Venture out into the gardens and park at Hatchlands, follow the trails, solve the clues, and claim your Cadbury’s chocolate prizes.

The First Easter Bunny, Guildford Museum, 5th April

Discovery the ancient origins of Easter and listen to the stories of the goddess Oestre before following a trail around the museum to collect lots of Easter treats!

Newbury

Easter Farms 2 Ewe, Cobbs Farm, 28th March

Who wouldn’t want to spend the day with some very cute and fluffy animals? This is a free event where the whole family can enjoy seeing the animals and spend a day out in the fresh air.

Giant Easter Egg Hunt, Newbury Town Centre, 25th March – 2nd April

Follow the clues, find the letters, and work out the captions to be in with the chance of winning some fantastic prizes. There are plenty of activities too, with free face painting, arts and crafts, treats, and fantastic toys to play with.

Tunbridge Wells

Easter Bunnies, Tunbridge Wells Museum and Art Gallery, 18th March

Enjoy free drop-in art, craft, and story-telling sessions for two to five-year olds, with a special Easter theme.

Lindt Easter Bunny Hunt, Hever Castle, 25th March – 10th April

Discover the magic of Easter and join the hunt to find the Lindt Gold Bunny. You can also discover the history of Easter and learn about other Easter traditions as you take part in quizzes and make Easter bonnets.
